2026 DHS Volleyball Coach Aide

Converse County School District #1 is seeking a DHS Volleyball Coaches' Aide to join our extra-curricular team and make a positive impact on the youth of our community.

About the role

Help each participating student achieve skill development, an appreciation for discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.

Responsibilities

• Assists coaching staff in coaching individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in volleyball.
• Assists in planning and implementing practice programs; attends scheduled practices (1 to 2 ½ hours in length).
• Assists and follows the directions of the coaching staff in maintaining the safety conditions of the facility or area in which volleyball is conducted at all times that students are present.
• Attends all games or events, including culminating events scheduled by the coaching staff.
• Assists the coaching staff in enforcing discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
• Maintains competency in rules, rule interpretations, meet procedures, coaching techniques, and general information about volleyball.
• Assists coaching staff in building a consistent and positive public communications procedure through the school and media to inform parents and the general public about the program.
• Assists coaching staff in preparing and attending pre-season whenever possible.

Athletic Director may authorize exceptions to the above duties with prior approval as deemed necessary.

Pay

$3,440.00 (80% of Category 11 on the Extra Duty Salary Schedule).
