Overview

Butler Machinery Co and Butler Ag Equipment are seeking future Ag Equipment Diesel Technicians. Ideal candidates should have a passion for agriculture, strong work ethic, and basic mechanical skills. The ButlerMAX program offers scholarships, paid internships, and a 2-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Diesel Technology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 while in the program
• Work the minimum number of internship hours required by the program (1,280)
• Be prepared and on time for work and school
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Secure housing arrangements at the school and internship location
• Commit to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards
• Meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicle
• Have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
• Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new skills quickly

Qualifications

• Required: High school juniors or seniors, high school diploma or GED
• Age 18 by the first internship
• Acceptance by Lake Area Technical College by its application deadline
• Electronic application submission through Butler's website
• Insurability standards to drive a company vehicle
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new skills quickly
