2026-27 Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) (Reset Room Support with an Emphasis on Behavioral Supports and Behavioral Coaching)

About the role

The teacher provides instruction to students including preparation, assessment and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in the reset room for students needing behavioral intervention and coaching.
• Assess student needs and develop individualized support plans.
• Collaborate with other staff members to implement effective behavioral strategies.
• Support students in achieving academic success while addressing their behavioral needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• Qualify for a teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students who have behavioral challenges is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Knowledge of behavior modification techniques.
• Ability to manage classroom effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay

$46,049 minimum - $92,806 maximum depending on experience and education, scheduled 183 days per year. (*Additional pay: SB500 funds will be added for the 26-27 school year)
