2026/27 SPED Instructional Assistant/Personal Care - LPN - Copper Canyon ES
About the role
This position is located at Copper Canyon Elementary School and is a non-interim, 9-month, 6.5-hour/day position. The grade is Grade 26/Step 24 with an hourly rate of $27.37.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
- Observe, record, and report to the school nurse the condition of the student including signs and symptoms, which may be indicative of a change in the patient's condition.
- Provide for the emotional and physical comfort of the student.
- Aid in the care of the student in accordance with the student's care plan.
- Assist as needed with other students in program.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with severely handicapped children.
- Effective communication skills.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
Skills
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
