Essential Functions
- Administers subject specific assessments and tests.
- Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress.
- Affords feedback to students, parents, and administration on student progress.
- Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, parents, and community resources.
- Counsels students or refers them to appropriate school personnel.
- Demonstrates pedagogical approaches that engage learners.
- Differentiates classroom work.
- Directs student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers, and student workers.
- Instructs students.
- Maintains students in various educational environments.
- Participates in a variety of meetings.
- Participates on Professional Learning Community (PLC) teams.
- Prepares a variety of written materials.
- Reports health and safety issues.
- Responds to emergency situations.
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in job-related area.
- Skills: Applying assessment instruments, operating standard office equipment, and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
- Knowledge: Applying curriculum and instructional techniques, appropriate codes, policies, regulations and/or laws, age appropriate activities, lesson plan requirements, stages of child development, behavioral management strategies, assessment instruments and techniques, methods of instruction.
- Ability: Scheduling activities, meetings, and/or events, gathering, collating, and/or classifying data, using job-related equipment.
- Responsibilities: Working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods, directing other persons within a small work unit, utilizing resources from other work units.
