About the role

This position is for the 2026-27 school year at Shepardson Elementary School supporting the Center Based Autism Program. Multiple positions available.

Responsibilities

• Support students with autism in a center-based setting
• Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans
• Assist with daily routines and activities to promote social and academic growth
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Current certification as a Special Educator or Integrated Services Provider
• Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Colorado teaching license or equivalent certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Master’s degree in Special Education or related field preferred
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques
• Ability to work with children with autism spectrum disorders
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Pay

Special Education/Integrated Services Pay Range: $20.26-$22.69/hr, based on qualifications and experience*

*These pay rates are based on the 2025-26 school year rates and will be updated when approved during the negotiations process for the 2026-27 school year*
