2026-27 Multi-categorical Education Support Specialist - Monticello Schools

Responsibilities

• Establish a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district
• Inspire and engage all students in relevant learning
• Carry out the IEP goals as designed by the teacher
• Help students to strengthen their skills to become more independent
• Aid in behavior management and crisis intervention
• Observe, record, and chart behaviors
• Confer and plan with teachers to recommend ideas, identify problems, and aid in problem solving
• Help the classroom teacher with recordkeeping of the student's progress
• Conduct informal assessments to measure students' mastery of learned materials as directed by the classroom teacher

Requirements

• Experience working with diverse students and families

Qualifications

• Associate's degree
• 60 semester college credits
• Passing Score on the ParaEducator test

Pay

$25.59 - $27.20 hourly

Schedule

Generally works 175-178 days per year based on the school calendar and training. Hour per day varies by assignment, but most are 6.75 hours per day.
