2026-27 Macmillan Publishers Immersive Internship Program
The 2026-2027 Immersive Internship Program at Macmillan Publishers is now accepting applications. This paid, full-time, remote opportunity offers a comprehensive understanding of the publishing industry through immersive experiences in Trade departments like Editorial, Marketing, Publicity, Art & Design, Sales, Managing/Production Editorial, Production, Publishing Operations, Subrights, Creative Services, and Author Events. Additionally, there are shared services opportunities in ESG, Technology/Platform Development, Legal, and People and Culture.
About the role
Experience Interns will gain a deep understanding of their assigned teams and contribute meaningfully to the organization. The program runs from September 21 to April 30, 2027, with three planned breaks. Compensation is $17/hour, and the schedule is part-time up to 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Industry & Development Workshops to enhance professional skills and industry knowledge.
- Network with employees across various departments to build a diverse professional network.
- Contribute to meaningful projects and take on ownership of larger initiatives.
Requirements
We are seeking passionate individuals who are committed to diversity and inclusion. The program is open to candidates who have graduated high school, are 18 or older, and are eligible to work in the U.S. We particularly encourage applications from groups historically underrepresented in publishing, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and people with disabilities. Applicants must be physically located in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.
