KIPP Indy Legacy High School seeks a knowledgeable and passionate high school science educator to teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with state standards, foster scientific inquiry and experimentation, and regularly assess student progress.
- Foster scientific inquiry and experimentation in the classroom.
- Maintain an organized and safe laboratory and classroom environment.
- Strong classroom management.
- Build relationships with students and families to support academic and personal success.
- Collaborate with the academic team to plan instruction and align curriculum across grade levels.
- Provide real-time feedback to students to promote their growth in science.
- Use differentiated instruction and scaffolding techniques to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Actively work with academic coaches to continuously improve instructional practices, embrace feedback, and implement strategies for professional growth.
- Take ownership of your professional development by seeking out learning opportunities and reflecting on your teaching practices.
Compensation and Benefits
Licensed teacher starting at $50,000. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a highly competitive benefits package. Benefits include:
