About the role

Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) is looking to hire a full-time EA1 - Spec Ed Voc Serv 10 Mo for our Focus Beyond (18-Adult) in St. Paul, MN. The position is expected to be filled in 2‑4 weeks. Focus Beyond Transition Services serves students aged 18‑22. The program seeks applicants dedicated to helping students with disabilities become as independent as possible, providing support with functional academics and behavior management. Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing instructional plans and lessons for students.
• Assist in day‑to‑day operation of the school program by preparing behavior modification charts, point charts, bonus coupons and homework sheets; monitoring student attendance, and collecting data or other related activities.
• Record student progress on appropriate documents and maintain official school district student records.
• Assist the teacher in preparation and housekeeping of the classroom by cleaning, arranging or storing materials, furniture, equipment and written documents and files.
• Work directly with individual students and groups in daily activities and assignments, providing direction and assistance.
• Monitor and manage
