About the role

Responsibilities

• Administers subject-specific assessments and tests to assess student competencies.
• Advises parents and/or legal guardians about student progress.
• Advises students to improve their performance, health status, and problem-solving techniques.
• Affirms student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals.
• Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, District personnel, parents, and community resources.
• Demonstrates pedagogical approaches that engage learners.
• Differentiates classroom work to address individual student requirements.
• Directs student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers, and/or student workers.
• Instructs students to enhance their academic success.
• Maintains a safe and positive learning environment by monitoring students in various educational settings.
• Participates in meetings and reviews data and instructional practices.
• Prepares written materials and reports health and safety issues.
• Responds to inquiries and emergency situations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.
• Arizona Teaching Certificate appropriately certified in core content area with SEI endorsement.
• Clearances: Criminal Background Clearance, valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
