About the role

The position is at Chapin Middle School.

Responsibilities

• Teach dance and drama classes to students in grades 6-8.
• Develop and implement curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance student learning experiences.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Participate in department meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Music Education or related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Advanced Fine Arts, Art, Dance, Music Education—Choral, Music Education—Instrumental, Music Education—Piano, Music Education—Violin, Music Education—Voice, Theatre, Speech and Drama, or English.
• Experience teaching dance and drama at the middle school level.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of dance and drama techniques and pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in classroom management and lesson planning.

Skills
