Qualifications

• Certification as a Teacher of Music is required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
• Experience as an elementary vocal music teacher.
• Piano is preferred.
• Show knowledge of curriculum modifications.
• Show the ability to use digital equipment for various purposes including word processing, data management, student information systems, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, communications, telecommunications, etc.
• Maintain a positive learning environment.
• Show strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
• Show enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community.
