Scheduling of Student Teacher Placements:

• Placements are made during May/June for fall semester and November/December for spring semester.
• Requests for student teaching placements made more than one month before the start date may not be accepted.

Human Resources Department Contact

Email will provide the student teacher and University with the campus placement(s), name and email address of mentor teacher(s), and dates of placement(s).

Additional Qualifications:

• Students interested in student teaching or observation placements should ensure their university informs the Human Resource department at HR@HEBISD.edu.
• Once the application is completed, a confirmation should be sent to HR@HEBISD.edu.

Additional Job Information:

• HEB ISD student teacher placements are coordinated and approved through the Human Resources department; no other entity of the district is approved to negotiate placements.
• Students must consent to a background check and achieve approved status.
• Students must attend a mandatory orientation.
