About the role

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing, treating, and managing speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in K-12 students. They collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' communication abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
  • Provide direct therapy sessions to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Keep records and reports of student progress and treatment outcomes

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • A current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Nevada
  • Experience working with K-12 students
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Understanding of educational and psychological testing procedures
  • Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet individual student needs
