About the role
The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing, treating, and managing speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in K-12 students. They collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Provide direct therapy sessions to students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Keep records and reports of student progress and treatment outcomes
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- A current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Nevada
- Experience working with K-12 students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Understanding of educational and psychological testing procedures
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet individual student needs
