Requirements

• Letter of Interest
• Resume
• Copy of official transcripts verifying an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or a minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited college (original official transcripts must be provided at new hire orientation)
• OR Copy of qualifying Praxis Paraprofessional test scores of 456 or higher. Applicants interested in taking the Paraprofessional Praxis exam can visit http://berkeley.schoolwires.net/Page/14574 for additional information.
• Negative TB test results under 1 year old. BCSD strongly encourages all applicants to upload their TB test results. If the applicant has not completed the test, they will be required to upload a word document acknowledging that the results will be uploaded as soon as the test is completed. A delay in submitting TB test results will postpone the onboarding process (if selected for a position).

Additional information

• Paraprofessional Praxis exams are offered through Berkeley County School District and Dorchester District 2. There is a registration cost of $75 that must be submitted at the time the test is administered.
• Applicants will be contacted by the school/location they have applied to within 3 weeks if selected for an interview. Please do not call the district regarding an interview status.
• Depending on the volume of applications received, all applicants may not be interviewed for this position.
• Applicants may be considered for multiple vacancies.
