2026/2027 - Science (Living Earth) Teacher & Interns - Secondary

Requirements / Qualifications

• Resume and cover letter required for all teachers
• Two letters of recommendation (within 2 years of application date), at least one from an administrator or supervisor
• Copies of all transcripts noting BA degree (foreign transcripts must be evaluated for US equivalency by a CTC-approved agency)
• Scan or photo of one of the following Single Subject Credentials with EL authorization (e.g., BCLAD, CLAD, ELA1, ELAE, ELAM, ELAS, etc.):
  • Biological Sciences: Specialized
  • Life Science
  • Specific Supplementary Authorization in Biological Sciences
  • Specific Subject Matter Authorization in Biological Sciences
• Intern-eligible teachers (by July 11, 2026) must include a letter of appeasement or letter of intern eligibility from their university

Hiring Process

• Hiring staff review applications on file of those who possess the appropriate credential for the assignment.
• Applicants for specific assignments will be contacted for a scheduled interview.
• Hiring staff will recommend candidates to Human Resources.
• Human Resources staff will offer contracts after review of applicant's qualifications.
• Applicants will report to Human Resources to complete employment papers, sign contract, and receive authorization documents to report to work.
• Since referral and hiring are done by Human Resources, applicants should not contact the department directly to request employment.
