About the role
Teach Spanish language and culture to students in grades 6-12 at White House Heritage High School.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Spanish language lessons aligned with state standards.
- Incorporate cultural activities and materials to enhance language learning.
- Mentor students, provide feedback, and support their academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and improve teaching methods.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
Requirements
- Master's degree in education or related field.
- Valid teaching license in Middle/High School Foreign Language - Spanish.
- At least two years of successful teaching experience in Spanish language education.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of current educational technology and its integration into Spanish language instruction.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment strategies.
- Ability to teach using a variety of instructional methods including traditional classroom, online, and blended learning environments.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other educational software tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
