About the role

Teach Spanish language and culture to students in grades 6-12 at White House Heritage High School.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver Spanish language lessons aligned with state standards.
  • Incorporate cultural activities and materials to enhance language learning.
  • Mentor students, provide feedback, and support their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and improve teaching methods.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in education or related field.
  • Valid teaching license in Middle/High School Foreign Language - Spanish.
  • At least two years of successful teaching experience in Spanish language education.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Knowledge of current educational technology and its integration into Spanish language instruction.

Qualifications

  • Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment strategies.
  • Ability to teach using a variety of instructional methods including traditional classroom, online, and blended learning environments.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other educational software tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
