About the role

Coopertown Middle School seeks a certified teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is for 6th grade Mathematics and Science.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in Mathematics and Science aligned with state standards.
• Create and implement lesson plans that are engaging and effective.
• Evaluate student progress through various assessments and provide feedback.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and support student success.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.

Requirements

• Current teaching certification in Middle Grades 5-8.
• Knowledge of Earth Science, Mathematics, and Mid Grades Science at the 6-12 level.
• Experience teaching 6th grade Mathematics and Science.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Passport to Teaching certification preferred.

• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
