About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing library instruction to students in grades K-12, fostering an environment where students develop critical thinking skills through literature and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide library instruction to students in grades K-12
• Foster an environment where students develop critical thinking skills through literature and technology
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum
• Manage the library collection and ensure its accessibility and organization
• Support the development of student research skills and digital literacy
• Participate in professional development opportunities related to library instruction and education technology

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Valid Nevada teaching credential
• Experience working with children in a library setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Experience with integrating technology into the classroom
• Knowledge of current trends in library science and education technology
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Skills

• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a diverse collection of materials
• Proficiency in using library management software

Pay

$37,000 annually
