About the role

The position is for a K-12 General Resource Room teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is located at THIRIOT, JOSEPH E. ES in LAS VEGAS-THIRIOT, JOSEPH E. ES.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students with special needs in a resource room setting.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, other special education staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
• Valid Nevada teaching license with a special education endorsement.
• At least two years of successful teaching experience in a resource room setting.
• Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disorders.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
• Knowledge of current special education practices and trends.
