2026-2027 K-1-2 Multi-Age Montessori Classroom Teacher

About the role

Crescent City Schools is seeking a full-time teacher for the K-1-2 Montessori classroom at Harriet Tubman Charter School.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in the classroom and raise student achievement
• Long-term unit planning and daily lesson planning
• Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress
• Quickly implement feedback and goal-setting into lesson delivery
• Collaborate with teammates in grade-level and subject-level teams
• Participate in the life of the school, including student activities and events
• Maintain a classroom culture conducive to student achievement
• Use data to track student achievement and improve practice
• Participate in daily, weekly, and quarterly meetings about student achievement
• Embody, advocate, and operationalize the mission, vision, and direction of the school
• Take on other tasks, as needed

Qualifications

• A BA or BS Degree (preferred)
• Louisiana Teacher Certification or equivalent certification in another state (preferred)
• Believe in the mission and values of Crescent City Schools

• Have an outstanding record of leading academic achievement

Pay

This role may be on the Lead Scale or the Associate Scale (depending on the applicant's experience and qualifications). It may include bumps for taking on leadership responsibilities, summer work, doing work outside of your regular duties, or longevity with CCS.

Schedule

This is an in-person role.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
