[2026-2027] High School Cross Country and Track Head Coach

About the role

The High School Cross Country and Track program at DREAM Charter High School is seeking a part-time and seasonal head coach to lead the team during the school year. The position is on-site at 20 Bruckner Blvd, Bronx, NY 10454.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for cross country and track teams
• Manage team logistics including scheduling meets, managing equipment, and communicating with athletes and parents
• Attend and officiate meets and competitions
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive athletic program

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of high school cross country and track coaching techniques
• Experience coaching at the high school level
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical education or related field preferred
• Current certification from the New York State Education Department

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong organizational skills
