2026-2027 High School After School Tutor (s)

Responsibilities

• Support students in academic enrichment and behavior management after school.
• Provide one-on-one or group tutoring to reinforce classroom learning, helping students with homework, and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Oversee students, ensuring they adhere to behavioral guidelines and complete their assigned tasks.

Pay

Pay: $45.00 per hour or per diem, whichever is lower.

Schedule

• Working days: 4 days per week
• Hours per day: up to 3 hours
• Temporary for the 2026‑2027 school year

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s from an accredited college or university in a job‑related area.
• Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Must have a Washington State Teaching Certificate and meet WA State Certification Criteria.
• Relates well with students, parents and peers.
• Must have excellent classroom control.
• Willingness and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness and ability to work at district and building level in developing curriculum.
• An enthusiastic, creative and resourceful motivator of students.
• Willingness to work with students outside the classroom environment (e.g., club advisor, class advisor).
• Present a neat, clean, professional appearance at all times.
• Must be goal oriented (long range and short range).
