Head Ice Hockey Coach for the 2026/2027 season, beginning July 01, 2026, at Durango High School.
Responsibilities
- Supervision, mentoring, and assisting in the evaluation of assistant coaches
- Administration of the program budget
- Team supervision and discipline
- Care and inventory of uniforms and equipment
- Maintenance and oversight of facilities
- Effective communication with school administration, players, and parents
- Involvement with middle school and community-based hockey programs
- Fundraising activities
- Practice and competition planning
Requirements
- Valid CHSAA Certification, or Colorado Teaching Certificate/License
- Fundamental knowledge of hockey
- Experience working with school-aged athletes/students
- Ability to work as an integral part of the coaching staff
- Current medical injury treatment coursework
