About the role

The role of Counselor at Elementary School is to provide support and guidance to students, promote positive behavior, and ensure a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students
• Implement classroom guidance lessons and activities
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to address student needs
• Assess student needs and develop intervention plans
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Valid California teaching credential or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience working with children and adolescents
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred
• Experience in a school setting preferred
