About the role

We are actively recruiting scouts for home games played by collegiate basketball teams. This position is NOT affiliated with collegiate basketball teams. You will be scouting college basketball games from the arena, using Sports Info Solutions’ proprietary software. Scheduling is flexible based on your availability and game schedules. SIS provides a ticket to the game, as well as a parking pass (if applicable).

This position is primarily part-time, with a pay-per-game structure, and can lead to a larger role with SIS in the future. Contract dates: 10/15/2026–04/15/2027.

Responsibilities

  • Attend collegiate basketball games in person to scout and collect data using proprietary software.
  • Quickly and accurately identify and record basketball-related information for the duration of each game.
  • Communicate effectively with the SIS team regarding availability, game coverage, and any issues.

Requirements

  • Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to communicate.
  • Ability to understand and identify basketball concepts.
  • Access to and ability to operate a smartphone.
  • Transportation to the stadium.
  • Capable of intensive computer usage and spotting details (e.g., jersey numbers) from a distance.

Pay

Base rate of $75 per game, with a $2.50 increase per game scouted.

  • Example: 5 games will result in $400 ($75 + $77.50 + $80 + $82.50 + $85).
  • Additional incentives may be available for recruiting, extra coverage, holiday games, extended travel, or at-home work.

Qualifications

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
