About the role

This is a self-contained special-education generalist position for the 2025–2026/2026–2027 school year, serving elementary students under a Title I designation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess individualized instruction in all core academic areas for students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Develop and implement IEPs, including measurable annual goals, accommodations, and modifications.
• Collaborate with general-education teachers, related-service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure alignment with IEP objectives.
• Monitor student progress through data collection and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Adhere to federal, state, and district policies governing special education.

Requirements

• Valid Nevada Department of Education license with a Special Education (Generalist) endorsement or equivalent out-of-state license eligible for reciprocity.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience working with elementary-age students with diverse disabilities in a self-contained setting.
• Ability to lift and physically support students as needed.
