About the role
The selected candidate will teach art to students at PALO VERTE HS.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field
- Valid teaching license in Art Education
- At least three years of teaching experience at the high school level
- Experience working with diverse student populations
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating artistic skills and knowledge of contemporary art movements
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Proficiency in using digital and traditional art mediums
- Knowledge of current art pedagogical practices
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively
