Summary

The School of Nursing at SUNY Brockport is accepting applications for anticipated part‑time adjunct faculty openings for clinical supervision of students at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses.
  • Engage in experiential and hands‑on education when appropriate.
  • Produce effective course materials.
  • Achieve student learning outcomes.
  • Provide clinical supervision of students in health‑care settings.
  • Complete clinical evaluation on each student supervised in the classroom setting.
  • Correct assignments affiliated with the clinical course.
  • Attend faculty meetings as needed depending on the clinical course taught.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in nursing from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized institution, or an appropriate level of experience commensurate with the adjunct lecturer clinical supervision responsibilities.
  • Valid NYS professional nursing license.
  • Knowledge and experience in the supervision of students.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, the public, the college community, and external constituencies, with an appreciation for cultural and group differences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clinical teaching experience.

Work Schedule

Variable.

Salary and Benefits

$5,500 stipend per 3‑credit didactic course or $3,280 per clinical credit. May be benefits eligible. Find out more about benefits at Careers@Brockport.
