2025-26 Elementary Special Education
About the role
The successful candidate will teach in a 12:1+1 special class environment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of early childhood development, individualized instruction, behavioral interventions, and progress monitoring.
- Possess strong case management, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Work as a special educator in an integrated or special class setting.
- Experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum, Speech/Language Impairment, Other Health impairments, specialized reading instruction, behavioral intervention plans, and specially designed instruction in ELA, Math, and SEL is highly preferred.
Qualifications
- New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education (Elementary, 1-6, or K-12 is required).
- Strong interest in working as a special educator in an integrated or special class setting.
Salary
Competitive, based on experience and graduate credits, per Rush-Henrietta Central School District Teachers' Contract.
