2001 Temporary Agriculture Procurement Intern (Night Shift)

Summary

Assists in various aspects of the business including, but not limited to, data entry, crop receiving and quality, inventory and data management, raw materials counting, scale house procedures/receiving, and outside production to support the agriculture procurement department.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with raw material data entry and inventory transactions
• Count raw material inventory, including fresh and brined crop inventory
• Absorb and label fresh products, conduct quality checks, and unload outside production
• Tally and document fresh cucumber tanking and update daily inventory records
• Perform scale house duties as necessary
• Occasionally maintain inventory spreadsheets and submit end-of-shift reports
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, committees, and project teams as required
• Follow written and verbal instructions for assigned tasks and perform other duties as directed by supervisor

Physical Demands

Work Environment

Works outside approximately 50-75% of working hours, subject to wide seasonal temperature variations and intermittent wetting from rain. Lifts and carries up to 15 pounds. Must be 16 years of age. Ability to speak, read, and write in English required. Intermediate level computer skills and knowledge of standard business software required. Math requirements include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
