About the role

This position is with an automotive parts manufacturer, focusing on the investigation of electronic control units (ECUs) and connectors, as well as responding to inquiries from within the company.

Electronic Control Unit (ECU): Controls basic vehicle functions such as engines and brakes, as well as advanced features like autonomous driving through sensor management.

Connector: Connects wiring harnesses to safely transmit power and communication signals.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble vehicles commonly seen on the road to investigate the ECUs and connectors installed in them.
    • Other departments will partially disassemble the vehicle’s exterior and interior, from which you will extract components like connectors.
    • Investigate the extracted connectors, recording details such as the manufacturer, mounting orientation (horizontal or vertical), size, weight, and terminal dimensions in an Excel format.
    • In addition to recording data in Excel, take photographs and perform tasks such as inserting and trimming images in Excel.

Note: Investigation of one vehicle typically takes 3–4 months. Moving vehicles on carts is part of the job, requiring teamwork (3–4 people) to handle large and heavy items. While some physical effort is involved in disassembly, the work is team-based, making it accessible for women as well.

  • Respond to inquiries from other departments regarding data from previously investigated vehicles.

Requirements

  • Experience using Excel in a professional setting, regardless of industry or job type.
