1st Shift Warehouse Worker - Legacy Turkey - Melrose, MN

About the role

This position will fill Plant department orders with supplies from the warehouse, load and unload trucks with supplies for the plant, keep accurate daily and weekly inventory of warehouse items, keep the warehouse neat and clean, organize and clean the plant spice room and dry storage, communicate with the plant coordinator on orders that need to be filled, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks with supplies for the plant
• Keeping accurate daily and weekly inventory of warehouse items
• Keeping the warehouse neat and clean
• Organizing and cleaning the plant spice room and dry storage
• Communicating with the plant coordinator on orders that need to be filled
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Good organizational skills
• Forklift license or ability to get one
• Read and write English
• Able to use a calculator for basic math
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs

Pay

Pay Range: $20.10/HR

Schedule

Monday - Friday and weekends as needed; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Working Conditions

The plant has a range of working conditions depending on the department. Most positions operate in temperatures around 40°F, while some areas may be slightly warmer or colder depending on the process. As a harvesting facility, certain natural byproducts of processing such as blood or internal materials which may be visible in some areas. Majority of roles involve repetitive movements such as twisting, turning, reaching, and pulling, require standing on concrete floors or workstation platforms for 8 to 10 hours, and the ability to lift to 35 pounds.
