About the Role
Operates standup fork-lift truck and attached equipment in compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies and procedures. The driver is certified to lift, stack, tier, or move products and materials in the warehouse, loading dock, and production areas.
Responsibilities
- Supports deliveries and drop-offs for clients and vendors by verifying and inventorying materials, ensuring compliance with SQF and GMP transport standards.
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device or by other means.
- Inventories materials on work floor and supplies production with materials as requested.
- Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
- Ensures all packed pallets are wrapped and labeled properly.
- Delivers incoming mail and supplies to company recipients in a timely manner.
- Completes appropriate documentation for equipment, inventory, incoming, and outgoing deliveries in compliance with GMP and SQF standards.
- Maintains an organized and clean loading dock and warehouse in compliance with preventive maintenance and cleaning schedules, including supporting routine maintenance and care of all warehouse equipment.
- Performs deliveries in company vehicles as needed, including filling in for the primary driver during PTO in a 20’ straight truck. Must be able to push loaded cabinets weighing up to 100lbs on wheels while loading and unloading, and make van deliveries on time while being courteous to customers.
- Reports mechanical or electrical problems to the appropriate person.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must pass in-house fork-lift driving certification test and satisfy semi-annual recertification.
- Good computer skills, including Excel knowledge.

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
