About the Role

Simon & Schuster is seeking a 1st Shift Shipping Take-Off Associate to join our Distribution Center in Riverside, NJ. This position involves taking completed cartons off the conveyor and other related duties.

Responsibilities

• Take completed cartons off of conveyor
• Palletize cartons
• Wrap cartons onto pallet
• Shrink wrap pallets
• Stage pallets on shipping dock
• Floor load trailers
• Operate low rider
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to read shipping labels
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Available for overtime as needed
• Ability to operate low rider (preferred)
• High School Diploma (preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively when needed
• Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures
• Ability to follow directions

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Pay

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
