1st Shift Production Technician - Wadsworth (M-R)

Essential Functions

• Operate all guillotine controls.
• Cut material to specified sizes/weights and identify groups as outlined on mixing instructions.
• Check the metal detector at the beginning of each shift and after lunch period.
• Visually check all material while cutting and stacking for any contamination.
• Neatly stack cut material appropriately using poly between layers to prevent sticking.
• Stack waste skids according to size and stack cardboard neatly to go to cardboard baler.
• Check to ensure all containers are cleaned before using.
• Check to ensure all old tickets and markings are removed from the containers before using them.
• Absorb and notify Maintenance of any issues or concerns with equipment.
• Absorb and notify Team Leader of any problems or concerns.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly stand and walk.
• Frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally sit, talk, read, hear and/or smell.
• Sometimes lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally climb a ladder.
