Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and work activities of manufacturing department personnel.
- Ensure production commitments are met under supervision.
- Recommend, implement, and prioritize safety in department performance.
- Perform job and safety training for new department personnel.
- Monitor employee conformance with safety and quality regulations.
- Set up materials, equipment, and staff to ensure production success.
- Monitor quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Review daily production schedules and plan work assignments to meet shipping deadlines.
- Lead employees in completing work assignments to quality standards.
- Follow established materials procedures and order materials as needed.
- Ensure quality workmanship during all production phases.
- Cross-train associates within the department to maintain efficiency.
- Report delays promptly to the department Supervisor and fill in for them when required.
- Maintain a safe working environment and housekeeping standards.
- Resolve compliance issues and safety concerns.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
- Cross-train across production departments to achieve CIW/TCCI goals.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive manufacturing line responsibility.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Experience in all job tasks and duties within the assigned department.
- Ability to read production documents and identify parts/products.
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and cranes.
- Basic computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office Products.
