STARK is seeking an experienced Pad Prep for our Calhoun, GA location.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut padding materials (foam, batting, or fabric) using hand tools, cutting machines, or templates.
• Follow work orders, patterns, or cut sheets to ensure proper dimensions and quantity.
• Inspect materials for defects prior to and after cutting to maintain quality standards.
• Label and organize cut pieces for production use or inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized cutting area, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Track and report material usage and waste.
• Assist in maintaining cutting equipment and report any mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure workflow consistency and meet deadlines.
• Cross-train in other production areas as needed.
• Work in a warehouse environment with temperatures exceeding 95 degrees during summer and lower temperatures during winter.

Requirements

• Basic math and measurement skills, including the use of measuring tapes and rulers.
• Ability to read and understand cut sheets, patterns, or job instructions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
