1st Shift Nurse Manager (RN)
About the role
Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities is seeking a First Shift Nurse Manager (RN) for a mission-based organization focused on the comfort, joy, and achievement of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Cleveland/Akron area. The position offers a competitive salary range of $37.03-$59.24 based on experience.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing required, bachelor's degree preferred
- Ohio or multistate Registered Nurse licensure required, active status and without disciplinary action
- Minimum of three (3) years' nursing experience
- One to two years of nursing supervisor and/or management experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience working with persons with disabilities preferred
- Ohio Driver's License
- BLS CPR certification - free training/recertification provided
Responsibilities
- Manages a high-performing team of RNs and LPNs
- Collaborates with the Center’s Medical Team for continuous improvement of nursing practice
- Affirms healthcare needs of persons served and develops Individual Service Plans regarding nursing services
- Maintains compliance with standards of care and applicable federal and state regulations
- Supervises LPN and RN staff nurses and coordinates services provided
- Addresses staff performance issues professionally and provides clear expectations for improvement
- Develops, implements, monitors, and reviews the Nursing Component of the ISP
- Participates in medical rounds with the Medical Team
- Sets up, obtains, and follows-up clinical documentation for prior authorization of insurance carriers
- Completes ventilator authorizations, tardive dyskinesia assessments, tracks IV management, and laboratory services
- Assists with floor nurse vacancies and participates in mandatory on-call rotation
