About the role
The Assembler at Daifuku will use blueprints and hand tools to build conveyor products. Responsibilities include assembly based on drawings and supervisor instructions, following safety rules, and working overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly based on drawings and supervisor instructions
- Follow supervisors' instructions of work to be performed
- Self-inspect work to insure quality and compliance to specifications
- Use computer to record assembly status
- Follow safety instructions and rules
- Work overtime and assigned shifts as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of machine assembly experience
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team orientation

- Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and assembly drawings

Education and Experience

- Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

- Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
- Subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
- Subject to oils. There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
- Required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
Pay
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
