Location: Wallingford, CT Department: Production Posted: 7/31/2026 Location Name: Wallingford, CT Wage Max: 24.63 Hourly Wage Min: 24.63 Hourly Position Type: Full Time Shift: 1st Shift FLSA: Hourly Essential Duties And Responsibilities Perform all material handling and control operations for Shipping and ReceivingOperate company vehicle to make pick-ups and deliveries of material between local community and plant (seldom over 5 mile radius)Use mechanized and manual material handling aids as necessary to transport and position material following established methods and proceduresLocate and identify items. Count and/or verify count as necessary. Stack items on pallets or load into bins as requiredReceive incoming materials such as compounds, wire, and store for future useTransport, move and handle material within department as requiredExercise care in handling and stacking items to avoid injuries to others, damages to supplies, product or equipmentCheck fuel, lubricate, and coolant in equipmentDetect and report defective material, faulty operation and unusual conditions to supervisionFollow prescribed Safety RegulationsAssists with all/any other projects as required Job Requirements High School Diploma or equivalentWorking knowledge of MRP Systems (preferably Oracle)Experience in warehouse processesExperience in a manufacturing environment, preferredExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft Office software, particularly ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to lift up to 35 lbs.Ability to stand, twist and bend up to 50% of the timeStrong organizational skills.
