1st Shift Marine Junior Assembler (Dept 030)
About the role
Milwaukee Valve Company is seeking a 1st Shift Marine Junior Assembler to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 030. This position offers a starting hourly wage of $20.58 and comes with a $1,000 sign-on bonus, split into two installments: $500 after the orientation period and $500 after one year of employment.
Responsibilities
- Learn the operation of hand or bench type power tools.
- Learn the operation of air and hydro testers.
- Learn how to read and interpret instructions on test reports.
- Apply sealants, greases, and thread locker as per test reports.
- Disassemble and repair product as needed.
- Occasionally handle and stock materials at the machine being operated.
- Use hoist and other lifting equipment.
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
- Perform final inspection of work completed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three months related experience or training.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and test reports.
- Basic mathematical skills for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to reach for objects above eye level.
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, and move hands and arms freely.

Pay
The starting hourly wage for this position is $20.58.
Schedule
The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 6:00am-2:30PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturdays.
