About the role
Operation of various hand tools and equipment to construct window units. Movement of materials and finished products within the production work area.
Responsibilities
- Lift windows onto build tables and roller racks
- Move carts in and out of production work area
- Load window sash components for processing insulated glass units
- Offload insulated glass units to carts
- Read and understand written work instructions
- Perform quality audits and engage in problem-solving activities to resolve issues of concern
- Ensure overall quality of work produced
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in industrial manufacturing required
- One (1) year experience in window & door manufacturing preferred but not required
- Ability to read a tape measure
- High degree of attention to detail and organizational skill
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some overtime and weekends
- Ability to read and understand reports
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Capable of using computerized equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on concrete surfaces for long periods in a non-temperature-controlled environment
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (8 hours)
- Overtime including weekends is occasionally required
Pay
Starting at $16.50 per hour.
