About the role

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production and building equipment while following Truvant’s approved production and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production machinery.
  • Maintains and repairs building equipment and physical structures, including electrical systems.
  • Aid Operators in startups of production machinery.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welders, hoists, forklifts, and measuring and testing instruments to repair or fabricate components for repairs, modifications, or installations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment, use electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Submit documentation for inventory used, assigned tasks, and PMs completed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education, Training & Experience:
    • Associates degree in an appropriate technical field of study.
    • Minimum three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • On the job training provided
  • Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
    • Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures
    • Ability to pay close attention to detail
    • Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job
    • Skill in reading and understanding blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings
    • Some knowledge and understanding of basic PLC programing logic.
    • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
    • Skill in multitasking and time management and self-motivation.
    • Understanding of and experience with 110-208-480-volt single phase and 3 phase electrical systems.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair standard mechanical, electrical, pneumatic components and detect minor equipment problems and correct them before they become major issues.
    • Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments
    • Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential
    • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense
  • Physical and Environmental Requirements:
    • Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication
    • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
    • Must be able to reach, touch, grasp
    • Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
    • Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push
    • Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor
    • Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products
    • Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 75 pounds
  • Travel Requirements:
    • 0-25% - Travel may be required to support business needs
