1st Shift Machine Technician I (Operator)

About the role

The Machine Technician I operates a minimum of one production machine in an area or department and performs basic preventative machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and lead key machinery, striving for efficient output of quality products.
• Set up, operate and adjust machinery.
• Perform changeovers and washes that meet or exceed specifications.
• May be responsible for breaking co-workers.
• Ensure products produced meet customer and quality requirements.
• Perform basic maintenance/controls, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain clean work area and participate in housekeeping throughout the facility and grounds.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Strongly Preferred: Mechanically inclined
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language.
• Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be able to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary.
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have fully trained and experienced in the operation of one production machine as defined at each plant and/or equivalent work experience.

Pay

$18.77/hr
Additional Pay: 2nd shift is $1.50/hr, 3rd/D/C Shift is $3/hr

Schedule

Shift: 7am-3:30pm
