Responsibilities

• Aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality products by transferring, cleaning, painting, grinding, molding, removing, sweeping, shoveling, inside or outside of our facilities as determined by supervision.
• Assist in all related activities to relieve other employees for breaks, injuries, sickness, tardiness, absenteeism, or vacation/personal days.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain machines, tools, dip tanks, paint lines, impregnators, and other related equipment to produce finished products, assist with set-up and material handling, perform minor troubleshooting, and ensure efficient productivity.
• Operate grinding equipment, conveying equipment, cleaning, pressing, buffing, and molding machines.
• Operate qualifying equipment, inspect and sort castings, and perform related duties as determined by supervision.
• Pack, inspect, and prepare products/materials for shipment or transfer.
• Operate moving, hauling, and storing equipment such as forklifts.
• Follow proper safety procedures and wear prescribed safety equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs, steel-toe shoes) at all times. Earplugs must be worn due to noise levels.
• Report work performed, inspection findings, and time/materials used accurately and neatly.
• Maintain a clean work area, return tools/materials to storage, and remove waste/debris after completing assigned work.
• Report any injury, unsafe act or condition, or equipment failure to a supervisor immediately.
• Perform duties to ensure uninterrupted facility operations and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Actively participate in SRP, VPDS, and other company initiatives to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, and enhance quality.
• Inspect castings visually and dimensionally using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and other equipment; perform tests and random audits; record findings manually or electronically; and report to production personnel.

Requirements

• Steel-toe shoes must be provided by the employee on the first day of employment; all other safety equipment is provided by the company.
• Willingness to work 10-hour shifts; shift times are subject to change. Refusal to work as needed is considered a voluntary quit.
• Willingness and availability to work overtime on an ongoing basis if needed. Refusal to work mandatory overtime is considered a voluntary quit. Overtime is paid for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.
