About the role

Utility position: Employee will assist machine operators in producing products safely and efficiently, ensuring product quality and packaging requirements meet customer specifications, running with minimal process issues, assisting in achieving OEE goals, and helping maintain the integrity of process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate rack and saw in a safe and efficient manner
• Keep production areas and other defined areas clean and organized
• Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
• Use and read a tape measure and caliper
• Follow all plant safety rules and wear proper PPE at all times
• Solve problems under pressure
• Identify ways to reduce downtime
• Work overtime as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ensure all products meet customer and product requirements
• Ensure packaging of finished goods per customer specification
• Accurately fill out production reports on a daily basis
• Read engineering sheets and make suggestions for improvement
• Perform regular and preventative maintenance of winder using safe practices and procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out
• Fill in on other machines such as, but not limited to, the recut area

Requirements

• High School education or GED equivalent

Pay

$20.16 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
