1st Shift Custodian ( Starting Pay $19.00-$21.00 per hour)

Join an industry leader and innovator in producing plastic components that make everyday life possible, from transportation to food packaging to healthcare. As a Custodian on the 1st shift, you will play a key role in cleaning and maintaining the facility.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize washrooms, lunchrooms, and office areas.
• Remove snow and salt parking lots and sidewalks.
• Operate compactor/baler as assigned.
• Pick up, sort, and weigh scrap.
• Service air filters as needed.
• Perform various projects and repairs around the building (knowledge of tools and painting is a plus but not required).
• Clean windows and fixtures, strip/wax or buff floors.
• Perform yard work such as planting and weeding.
• Use equipment such as snow blowers, buffers, scrubbers, or sky jack.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
• Grow job-specific knowledge and use tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
• Comply with safety regulations, use safety equipment, and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Physical Requirements

• Walk and stand for the entire shift.
• Frequently bend at the waist, twist/turn, kneel/crouch, push, pull, and climb (using ladders).
• Occasionally lift below the waist up to 75 lbs.
• Regularly lift above the waist between 10 lbs and 75 lbs.
• Seldom lift above shoulders up to 75 lbs.
• Frequently perform hand, wrist, and finger movements, including squeezing.
• Occasionally use a keyboard and foot pedals for controls (e.g., on a forklift).
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors year-round.
• Regular exposure to odors, dust, and seasonal weather conditions.

Qualifications

• English skills sufficient for reading and comprehending labels and instructions.
• Experience with power and hand tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently.

Pay

Starting pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour.

Schedule

1st shift hours: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
