1st Class Pipe Fitter

Key Responsibilities

• Layout, fabricate, and install CuNi piping systems according to technical specifications.
• Test and repair pipe systems as needed to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
• Use precision tools and equipment, including grinders and sanders, to prepare pipes for installation.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CuNi (Copper Nickel) pipe fitting experience.

Skills And Abilities

• Successfully pass a hands-on pipe fitter test, which includes:
• Create a square cut on a CuNi pipe using a cutting grinder (Metabo).
• Apply a bevel to the pipe using a grinder with a sanding disc.
• Cut the opposing end of the pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90-degree angle.
